What does this mean for Canadian importers?
Effective immediately, the review period will now run from October to October of the following year. The upcoming review will cover the period from October 2024 to October 2025. Based on import activity during this time, the CARM system will calculate updated financial security requirements. Any changes will be communicated directly through your CARM Client Portal https://ccp-pcc.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/en/homepage.
Importers will have until January 15, 2026 (and January 15 in subsequent years) to meet the new financial security requirement. This change is intended to provide businesses with additional time to adjust and comply.
To confirm the amount of RPP bond you currently have please visit Financial information, Financial Security in your portal.
