As of March 27th 2020, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Canadian government has announced a series of measures to assist small- and medium-sized businesses affected by the outbreak. The provisions include a 3-month, 75-per-cent wage subsidy; the deferral of GST/HST payments and import duties; and government-backed, interest-free bank loans. These measures will be in place until June 2020.
